As much as I want Pyrrha to return as a Grimm, I've thought about her soul being inside Ruby. Her soul could be extracted by the machine and put into a robot body similar to Penny's.

It would be interesting to see how she would cope with having a robot body, no longer needing to sleep, eat, or drink.

But it would also be interesting see her trying to live with her friends as a "purified" Grimm hybrid.

Pretty much, that's why I kept his eyes the original color, just more bright. He's still technically good, but didn't handle all that happened at Beacon all that well essentially. RWBY was Monty's baby from start to finish, it literally only existed because he pushed for it so hard. Hell, I remember hearing that Monty literally made it becoming a full series one of the conditions of him working for RoosterTeeth
Its no surprise that Monty's passion project was riddled with the same problems Monty had, not least of which was his refusal to just let things go, like his desire to do the Dance arc
He was a great man, an incredibly creative mind, but he was far from flawless and you can see those flaws and that brilliance etched all over RWBY

There's always the inevitable "return home, older and wiser" arc. I mean, there's still that fuck off massive dragon snoozing on top of Beacon tower, finding a way to kill it and secure Vale again would be a great way to mark a tipping point against Salem.
Or it could be a neat post-story final boss sort of deal, with the story ending how it began, with Team RWBY flying into Beacon and decapitating a huge flying Grimm

I've come to the realization Volume 2 is really where the story starts. We get Ironwood arriving, the WF activity starting to really amp up, the reveal of the Paladins, the whole mountain Glenn thing which lead to the breach and Ozpin getting kicked as head of security.
