While she is the main character, she has no grasp of consequentialist ethics, and seems to be entirely unable to consider the big picture, or the medium picture, or any picture other than her immediate view. Plus, a huntress wouldn't really be able to conduct any sort of administration or direction work, unless she was just LARPing.

Well a thing you gotta remember is that Akuma isn't is actual name so the whole mythological thing you can ignore.
As for character archetype he is essentially just out to get stronger and ultimately become the most powerful being.
He doesn't want to rule the world just hone his craft and make it the most potent.
In that regard you could make your OC a very strict teacher that beats the shit out of his students and doesn't use a weapon, or you can just make him a traveling hermit, fighting and killing all hunters/grimm in his way.
Best part is you essentially don't have to tie this character to anyone one faction but rather just have it as neutral evil.

Weiss was retarded for not realizing Jacques could hand everything to Whitley, but this idea that being a huntress would leave her incapable of running the business is equally dumb. Jacques sure as hell wouldn't drop the company to spend time with his family, so the heir isn't getting shit until he drops dead. He's the oldest looking dad but he's not wrinkly, doesn't seem sickly, and he's rich enough to afford robot organs if it came down to it. She would likely be in her 30s at LEAST by the time it happens, around the age we've seen other hunters settled down into teaching jobs.

She could build a name for herself as a huntress, take time off to get the Remnant equivalent of business degrees and personal tutoring from Jacques, and be entirely ready for the job by the time her huntress days were over. Might not be as good as a full time huntress or ready as quickly as a pure businessman, but it could work.

Weiss' story is too predictable, and her father and brother are far too flat of characters. Blake's back story has been retconned, and they really tripped over themselves by just throwing away the "corrupt branch" of the White Fang.

Yang has potential for some good character growth, and I'm really liking where Ruby and RNJR are going with their story.

Best to wait of the best of the volume, I suppose.

It turned out instead that she comes from a rich and influential family. She talks about racism, when she clearly lived secluded in her own palace. If she had been an orphan, struggling to survive and being oppressed by human racists, that would make her more believable, and a better character. But now she is instead a privileged SJW.

Best way to do it is actually the way the Assassin's Fist fan series tackled it.
Basically he has a tremendous amount of power but it is also constantly hurting and tearing his body apart.
So have it to where he can do these huge bursts of power in a near OP sense but after about 3 minutes have it be severely weak, or have the aura be completely drained. To compensate for that make it to where he holds back most of the time.
The one thing you may need to 86 or redesign is the Raging Demon. For an actual move template go with UMvC3.
