He's one of the most effective ones we've seen in the DCAU. Unlike Bruce, he doesn't stretch his morals to keep alive monsters and murderers, but at the same time he doesn't actively attempt to kill anyone. He doesn't WANT to kill, but if a villain gets too extreme, he won't shed tears over them being killed or hurt badly if it has to be done.
