This summarizes more or less why I hate Rebels. Those two kids are completely unafraid staring down Darth Vader. They show no human emotion in this extremely perilous situation which makes it really hard to give a shit about them.

Even Obi Wan was sweating in ep 4 and he trained the fucker since childbirth. Luke in ep 5 can't stop trembling and in ep 6 he completely loses it. Not only that, but even Vader himself starts to breathe faster and clearly become agitated near the end of his first duel with Luke.

Anakin wasn't even that whiny, and even when he was, Vader was still ruthless. What happened in Episode 1-3 doesn't make Vader any less scary, and Rogue One is proof of that.

And part of why a lot of us here actually liked Rogue One is because it positively expanded on the world built by both the PT and the OT.

Vader's Castle being at Mustafar makes it that much more creepy and morbidly significant to Vader. That is very much something built on the PT that Rogue One did well. The movies feed off each other, as Star Wars movies always should.

It's why Rogue One worked really well, compared to a certain other Star Wars movie.
