As someone who grew up with the X-Men cartoon, and in my teens saw the films, this does fucking hurt. I never even heard of the Inhumans until the MCU and AoS. Now they are systematically destroying my childhood hero team, killing the vast majority if not outright shelving them until (if) they somehow get the movie rights back.

It's a good job I enjoy the MCU so much, Jubilee jumped ship, X-23 is still popular, and I can five into the shadows of DC when something pisses me off.

Or really, any number of mutants with telekinetic powers should be able to work together to bind the mist in some way. The bloody thing isn't sentient or anything, it is just an airborne chemical that ended up as a weather phenomena. This should be easier to deal with than any number of supervillains.
