Jake could solo the Lich, but not without the emotional support of Finn. That's Jake's weak point, he simply isn't a strong of a person as Finn is. It's why they work together so well. Finn isn't even a tenth as powerful as Jake is, but Jake doesn't have a tenth of Finn's resolve.

The Lich is also slow as fuck and can be distracted pretty easily. There have been multiple times where Jake was able to subdue the Lich, even if it was for a moment. I'm pretty sure no one else in oo can do that.
