I have not read a new comic in years, I was excited for ultimate marvel new52 and rebirth and all new x-men but before I could get around to picking up any collected volumes or anything everyone told me it already went to shit.
I want to start reading comics outside of marvel and dc, does anyone know anything about image or wildstorm or topcow or any other comic universe that is perhaps less convoluted, it would be nice to have a complete collection of something that even if it doesn't end the character I can be happy with it.

Image isn't a universe. Just find something with a #1 on it and read.

>I want to start reading comics
Then just do it
why does everyone need help with this, it's so retarded
That's like saying "I want to start watching movies"
quit being a fuck

Damn I'm on mobile and wont be back in the states for a few weeks with a computer that can open it, will that link still be good in January ?

Do any other companies I mentioned have more streamlined or less complicated universes?

Check out Valiant Comics. It's pretty much exactly what you want. Streamlined line of superhero comics, all of pretty decent to great quality with only a tiny handful of genuinely bad comics, enough that there's plenty to satisfy you but not so much that you can't get them all, and they just had a big reboot in the late-00s so it won't take too long to get caught up.

Thanks,
Isn't a similar reboot happening with cross general soon?
>>88444103
Marvel was saying how they were going to bring back CrossGen in the early-10s, but I don't think anything ever happened with that. If it did, then I at least never saw anyone talk about the books.

No. But I'll keep posting updated versions in the Win-O'. Just check the Win-O' Thread each week until then and there will be a version of it by then.

They did a mini or two, then let it all fade into obscurity.

Excuse me sir, do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior, the eurocomics?
>>88442562
I was under the impression that Marvel was doing shit with sales, yet this dollar share chart seems to imply otherwise.
If somebody could clarify I would be appreciative.
>>88444832
It's from 2015 you illiterate fuck.
>>88444832
October 2015. But also, Marvel's not doing as badly as /co/ wants you to believe.
>>88444832
It's from last October, when Marvel had Secret Wars and DC had DCYOU.
Plus, Marvel will continue to dominate dollar share.
Their books cost way more.
>>88444832
Marvel has a higher cover price (DC has $2.99 and $3.99 titles while Marvel's average is around $3.99 and $4.99) and pumps out more titles.

Who would you say are the top 2 or 3 characters/teams in valiant right now/over all?
Is there any other company that had a similar late start and/or a recent reboot to keep everything streamlined
