I doubt Aku had any kind of personal interest in the Scotsman. More likely the Scotsman destroyed a bunch of shit and got the feds on his ass, so they treated him like a normal criminal. Note that we never see wanted posters for the Scotsman like we do with Jack. Even in the episode where we learn about the Scotsman's crimes we never get any kind of indication that what he's saying is true.

As far as the sword goes, I'm going to hazard a guess that "magic runes" extends as far as "won't break in combat", which is still a really fucking nice thing to have on a sword. Who made the sword is really up for debate, but if you were to ask me I'd say it was probably an ancestral sword passed down through the Scotsman's family through the generations, lasting as long as it did because magic runes. If the Scotsman got close enough to Aku to try and cut him, I assume the sword would disintegrate like any other weapon (although it's plausible that the effect would go slower or the magic runes would interact with Aku's magic in some other way, but regardless it wouldn't just be immune like Jack's sword is).

I honestly expect to see him show up as an old man, maybe the Elder of his clan having formed a large family with his monster of a wife. Maybe he will die of old age or in battle. But he sure as hell needs to meet the new Jack; The Scootsman and Punished Jack are more alike than the jovial and young Jack was.

I actually think it'd be more of a middle ground. His sword wouldn´t hurt Aku, but it wouldn´t be destroyed either.

The Trolls in the Winter segment also used runes forging a sword Jack's own cut insultingly easily. Then again, they used less and different runes, so there goes that.
Still, while his sword is definitely powerful it still can't be on the same level as Jack's, at least in what concerns harming THE IMMORTAL AKU!

Probably not. Gods don't seem to intervene with mortals unless it's absolutely necessary (i.e. Jack's dad). I don't doubt that there's SOME kind of god-like power fueling the runes (if only because Aku's conquest of the earth sucked all the non-deity power out), but as far as effect goes compared to Aku it's like a fleck of human skin touching a giant fucking rat: it's clearly tied to something bigger, but that tiny little piece ain't gonna do shit.
