Just curious: Would you guys settle for good story but half-baked panels if it meant faster updates? Like having homestuck template sprites in place of art in usually detailed scenes.

The artwork usually isn't as much of a problem as the writing. I say "usually" because it definitely was this time, and you'll see why when the update is out. And then you'll be like "why did you feel this was necessary, Kaz", and I won't have a good answer.

I guess... you know how sometimes you'll think "man, coleslaw sounds good right now", so you buy an entire bucket of coleslaw, eat the whole thing in one sitting, and then never want to see coleslaw again in your life? This update has kind of been that for me, except with graphical fanciness rather than coleslaw. I wanted to know what it was /like/, and now it's out of my system and I just wanna scribble normal panels.

Right now, though, everything is moving pretty smoothly. I have a few resources I'm still waiting on (from one of your peeps, actually!), but I'm mostly just putting things together now. Today, however, I need to drive out to drop off a package and do a little more Christmas shopping. Maybe I'll stream again, since I also need the coder to implement some graphics I can't easily add myself.

I just read Prequel a couple months ago and I know you guys have probably talked this any viable subjects to death by this point in the hiatus, but I was wondering what you think of the way Kaz does the Suggestion Boxes. I was really suprised by how much mileage he's gotten out of the idea, and I think they make the story really unique. What do you guys think about them? Do you like them? Do you dislike them? Do they add in a meaningful way to the story? Are they what makes Prequel....Prequel?
