YOU GLORIOUS BASTARD!

Anon from the other thread here talking about this series.
This artist is my favorite though. His art is, in my opinion, symbolic of this era and period in time. Like I remember seeing his stuff around a lot during the early 00s. The hacker-kid character in this is a symbolic too, like how there was this stereotype at the time and he totally encapsulates it. He's a dumb character but something about him makes me super nostalgic.

Yeah, I really loved the art itself, but also the cover designs and the "ads" were definitely different and very contemporary to the design and tech world of the era.
Thanks for storytiming Wildcats, OP!
>That scene where they fuck in front of Agent Orange.
Where is it?
>>88410614
Not happened yet
>>88410614
I thought /co/ would get a kick out of it. I really need to stop posting before I complete my thought.

I thought it was right after this though.. >>88410153>>88410165
That's what he's referring too. Before they got raided... unless this version of the print left it out or it was a flashback or something.

It is there I missed it too >>88410263

KEK okay there it is. Why does she get off c.ucking agent orange? That scene was just an out-of-nowhere-what-the-fuck.
I think it has some serious exploitable potential though.

Man, Wildcats has come a long way from this to 3.0. Almost hard to believe it's still the same series.
All I have time for today.

That's what I've been saying. It really lost it's footing after Moore's run. Like they had no idea what to do with it. And I don't like how the newer volumes kept introducing new characters and ignored the old ones. I was hoping the stuff with Halo was leading into a "get the old band back together" type story. But nope. It just keeps going nowhere.
It's what happens when writers want to take established stuff and do their own thing with it I think. It might seem new at the time but reading it all together in retrospect, it feels like suddenly everyone forgot the whole past of the book and the characters, etc.
This version of the WildCATs is so loosely connected to it's previous self it's ridiculous.

I'm not super familiar with Wildcats to be honest, just read a couple of old issues and I've seen the cartoon back in the day. I only meant it's funny how it's gone from demon slaying spec-ops X-Men to corporate action thriller stuff.
Cool shit, though. Looking forward to the next storytime.

> I only meant it's funny how it's gone from demon slaying spec-ops X-Men to corporate action thriller stuff.
Yeah I don't hate the corporate action thriller stuff completely, I just think it falls flat compared to the demon-alien-slaying spec-ops X-Men.
And I've been arguing here (arguing not shitposting/fighting, it's productive) that DC needs the WildCATs. But since you mentioned X-Men I think WC can easily become DC's X-Men team. They were obviously going for that back in the 90s. And with Marvel shitting on X-Men now, it can work better than ever.
Thank you. The period from vol.2 #1 to the end of 3.0. Are, to me, the best team book ever produced. The wildcats RULE!

>It really lost it's footing after Moore's run
Fuck you.
>the newer volumes kept introducing new characters and ignored the old ones
You dear Moore did this, introducing Ladytron and Tao. No Wildcat writer has ever ignored previous continuity so I dont get what you mean with "ignored the old ones". When has that ever happened?
>it falls flat compared to the demon-alien-slaying spec-ops X-Men
You dear moore ended this too, since he ended the Daemonite-Kherubin war.
Casey and Lobdell took the team to it's next step: they were a team of super-powered beings who suddenly found themselves without villains to defeat. This is how things would develop in real life. Fuck you for wanting thins to stay the same forever. Casey wanted to move superhero comics foward and Moorefags like you who ruined it. Also, the team got bak to it's roots in World's End, so... be less of a casual.
