Captain Atom and Firestorm seem to have pretty similar powers.
Which is the more powerful nuclear hero?
They're not that similar, are they? I didn't think Captain Atom could transmute stuff
>>88409245
He definitely could in the Nu52.
>>88409224
Captain Atom didn't used to be a shitty Firestorm/Doctor Manhattan ripoff.
Then nu52 (and the shitty last arc of his solo series in the 80s(/90s?) happened.

Captain Atom
Since its the quantum field

>Captain Atom didn't used to be a shitty Firestorm/Doctor Manhattan ripoff.
Its the the other way around anon
>>88409224
No, Captain Atom is a nuclear elemental and Firestorm is a damaged fire elemental. At least they were, the last time comics were worth reading.
>>88409224
Firestorm has a superior normal power set but Cap Atom has way more quantum time-fuckery asspulls in his reserve tank.
>>88409569
Yeah, I know that DM was based off of him, but that last arc is still stupid and poorly written and largely OOC and disconnected from everything else and it came years after Watchmen, clearly trying to piggyback off of a more Doctor Manhattan-ish version of Captain Atom.
So trying to base his nu52 self on it is a dumb idea.
>>88409224
Captain Atom always cameon top when they fought.
Elemental werefolf looking Firestorm <<<<<< Quantom elemental.
Also he is usually involved in bigger shit:
The end of Wildstorm, the Quantum universe, the death of the universe 51, i'm sure i forgetting another one
>>88409224
>a new challenger appears
i know Firestorm sucks cause Ostrander couldn't make him interesting
>>88409649
You are all like little children.
>>88409224
where do I start reading for both?
what about these two?

Yea he can, but he tends to like shooting things the old fashioned way instead.
And Captain Atom is near kryptonian levels of strong and durable. Firestorm is normal human strength etc.
