You know, the more I think about the more I can't help but feel that Anna was a huge detriment to the plot of the film. Since we had to deal with her moronic ass stumbling around accomplishing nothing of significance, we got almost no time to really focus on Elsa's character except for the immense guilt she feels because of Anna.

Elsa is pretty much reduced to a plot device for Anna to go out and do something interesting, rather than seeing how Elsa deals with her abilities, responsibilities, and what she even plans to do once she's "let it go".

Anna detracts from what otherwise would be an interesting story about someone who was once afraid of power coming to terms with it, possibly using it for something interesting, but no, all Elsa does is run off, build a castle and sit around for a while until Anna tells her she's doomed the kingdom, then she's right back to being terrified of herself.

It should have just been Kristoff who went to confront Elsa and convince her the her powers could be used for something beautiful, seeing as he loved ice and all, he was the only character that could actually appreciate her powers for what they were.
