Did you sketch that in a text book? Cool shit OP.
>>88345964
Nice.
>>88346454
I tend to sketch pretty much anywhere. Even a little piece of paper passing by.
>>88345697
Done this.
What you guys think? I have been told to tween a bit the shape of her body whil runing, but I am unsure on how to take it.
Working on portfolio stuff. And no, I'm not going to have a character line up in my portfolio. Just figuring character design stuff out.
>>88345964
You have a really neat style...I love your inkwork a lot!!
>>88346819
I like it!
I agree tweening it some more (or even adding in some more in-betweens) would help. It also feels like certain parts of her body aren't moving enough so it feels unnatural. I think once you add some more motion to the hips and torso, and add a bit of squash and stretch (to add weight, esp when she lands), you'll be fine.
Walk cycles are hard haha
>>88346819
The character's movement is a bit mecanic yes. I would make her limbs start the movement with a slow move first, and sudden acceleration. Trust your eyes.
Mind if I ask how and on what software you're doing this?
>>88346946
Do you plan on using them in action? Having them in a picture, all doing something would work wonders. I think the designs work.
>>88346946
Also - how do you guys feel about the scaling between the two characters in this? I've been playing around with it for a while now. I want to get this done by tonight.
>>88347034
If you want to make sure, draw the floor in perspective, and the legs of your character to see where they fit.
>>88346946
>I think once you add some more motion to the hips and torso
This is the part that made me kind of get stuck, I am not sure on how to draw this movement.
But hey, thanks a lot! I plan on redoing it on paper later, and adding more squash and stretch in the process.

>Mind if I ask how and on what software you're doing this?
Paint tool sai to draw, and Photoshop to create the gif.
>>88347444
>Photoshop to create the gif.
Very well. I'll research how to animate on Toshop.
>>88347504
Just draw frame by frame, click on "window" and in the option written "time line".
When the time line is open, click in the buttom into the right corner that had looks like 3 frames together - OOO
>>88347653
Gotcha. i was looking for a way to animate already made illustrations tho.
Basically scan a drawing and animate, say, an arm.
ive been trying to draw all day but havent done jack shit (digital art, no-screen tablet)
like it feels so unnatural atm despite me having this tablet for 2+ years plus the fact that I have drawn and advanced with digital art. I was never amazing or anything, but it was fun and I felt comfortable getting on the drawing tablet day-by-day. Now its just bleh lol
>>88347767
Try Flash or Toonboom.
Robot man or something.
>>88349145
And done.
I gave up on my art a decade ago.
I gave up on my writing last year.
>>88349794

Why ate you here then, loser?
Hey anybody know if this is a reliable source?

Seriously tho. I want to learn how to draw and people tell me to focus on the fundamentals
>>88354061
Wait shit wrong link
http://drawabox.com/
>>88354061
>>88354131
both are good. Proko on youtube is pretty good too. The key is to just draw a lot and to pay attention to what you're doing. The fundamentals apply to all art, so if you want to be efficient, spend as much time as you can on them. It might seem boring, but it sincerely helps you improve.
Hey this is my first real attempt at art, I've drawn some shit before but this is the first time I've actually tried, what do you guys think?
I finished this today... after a hiatus of a whole month. I started back in september, when I read some MK comics I really liked.
>>88347767
Krita has an animation tool now. It's a traditional-like tool, tho: frame to frame drawn animation.
>>88345697
God i can't even remember the last time i drew something. like, when ever i try to draw something i will start fine but when i get to not as well known territory this feeling just washes over me. i wanna say that it's a feeling of both dread and self-frustration, and it follows me until i'm just put into submission. i really wish i could figure it out on my own
>>88357995
Same here, anon. I know what I want to draw, and it always looks really good in my mind, but whenever I try and put it to paper, I end up erasing it all every time until I get frustrated and repeat the process the next time I try. I want to say that I'm still just developing my style, but I think that that's really just an excuse.
>>88357995
>>88358583
Don't give up just yet guys! It can be difficiult, but it'll only be more difficult if you don't keep trying.
Some sheet for an OC for a future show
