(1)- Angel has energy wings because linking him The Celestials is a great way to play up the "angel" angle. (say that ten times fast)
(2)- Sabretooth is with them because AXIS made him a good guy now, just like it made Havok a good brother, Tony Stark morally ambiguous, and Carnage a lovable and relatable character.
(3)- If I remember my random /co/ memes correctly, Jubilee is no longer a vampire but instead has become a very large hamster.
We all know /co/ memes are rarely wrong about these things.

It's hard to tell how tall Kurt is meant to be.
The way he always crouches and walks on all fours makes it difficult, but more so how Logan's a mini-man, Colossus is a... colossus, Storm is intended to be a very tall woman, and Kitty has always been petite.
Scale is always trouble when there's a bad artist here or there every other year.
