The Toy Story ripoff was a thing that kept getting parroted around mostly in the YouTube """reviewer""" community in an attempt to look smart.

Yes, there were some Toy Story similarities, but most of them are because both films share the theme of non-human characters fucking up and needing to journey back home, which is a story as old as time that Toy Story didn't create.

That said though it was an alright film, it got a few laughs out of me and it was overall fun. I'd say give it a watch and see what you think, but don't expect too much out of it.

I think it could be, though the reaction is not surprising. It does kind of have a lot those general elements of a movie people don't seem to care for like heavy pop culture references and kind of unremarkable plot. I think the strength of the characters and interactions will make or break this film, for me at least.

Honestly I think this movie has potential to be the studio's best if they properly balance what seems to be the three main characters (porcupine, ape, pig). Plus since it's not a real reality show singing competition the forced drama should work better.
