Actually, as a corollary to this: no *individual* title was selling well, but between them they're probably still half Marvel's line, and not selling particularly *badly* either when taken as a whole. Titles and creative teams may come and go but the concepts will likely remain in print.

It's not really worth going in-depth with cover prices to try and work out the profitability of each title/groups of titles, but I don't think it's hurt Marvel particularly, it's just not a good time for X-Men comics.

I want new adventures, new stories especially for the Academy X kids and see how the New Mutants fulfill thier roles as legacy characters and become the new face of the Xmen. Why was Wolverine so popular inthe 90s? He had stories that interacted with Captain America, Black Widow, the Hand, Madripoor. So you have certain points that give you relation about wolverine in the world.

Or X-Men in space, Valhalla all was kinda shared with MU. That was because you knew F4 or Thor that this existed in the world.
