In Marvel? It sort of became irrelevant. It was handed over to Cap whose heart was never in it in the first place so he mostly paid lip service and followed through on nothing which people were probably fine with since the program lead to the former leader declaring war on a bunch of gods a month earlier.
>>
>>88068206
is that map real or is it was it made up by some people as a joke?
>>
That was Marvel's Initiative.

Turned out a lot of the nobodies they recruited in order to actually fill 50 teams were Skrulls, and apparently the whole thing was scrapped after the Secret Invasion event.

>Turned out a lot of the nobodies they recruited in order to actually fill 50 teams were Skrulls, and apparently the whole thing was scrapped after the Secret Invasion event.

There was only ever one skrull on each team and not even all of them had skrulls. When Osborn took over he started making teams of ex-criminals. It carried on up until Siege and sort of disappeared once Norman Osborn got the boot and Camp H.A.M.M.E.R got shut down. I think some of the teams are still out there.
>>
>>88072403
Ohioan here. I'd say there's one positive. Natural disasters are rare.
We're too into the mainland for hurricanes to affect us all that much besides maybe heavier rain, tornadoes don't happen often since last one that happened here was like 10 years ago, and I've never felt an earthquake once in my life. Blizzards are the worst we get.

Admittedly there's not much else positive to talk about.

But Wisconsin's residents just don't take care of their state. Litter everywhere, Graffiti everywhere, Milwaukee. The state's a goddamn mess and it's almost entirely because of the people who live in it. And they can't even keep it in their own damn state, because they have no jobs so they have to seek employment in states who's job market isn't in the toliet.

Our summers are also like living in a bowl of fuck you soup with the thickness of the humidity and our infrastructure is some of the worst in the nation.

Plus, no one knows how to actually drive, especially in cities like Columbia and Charleston. Speaking of Charleston, the only thing worth seeing there is the historic district/Battery. Everything else is overcrowded and run down except in the areas that are way overdeveloped in Mt. Pleasant and West Ashley. For whatever reason, Ohioans (specifically, I don't know why) keep moving down here and crowding the place up.

It's true, ive been trying to get out for years, we all have but we can't, theres some kind of forcefield, when we ask the tourists for help they just laugh and think we are advertising for Disneyworld or Universal or the Jellyfish infested beaches.
>>
>>88068810
You never hear people say they're going north when they retire.

But seriously FL is pretty god awful. In the summer its so hot you cant even stand in the shade without sweating because of the humidity.

You're taught to assume every lake or pond probably has a gator in it.

Mosquitos are vicious and rampant.

Beaches are nice, but full of sharks

Snakes are fucking everywhere, I kill diamondbacks all the time in my yard. When its not diamondbacks its coral snakes swimming in the pool.

On the positive side its lovely during the winter and isn't ungodly cold. I see people walking around in shorts when its about 43 outside. We'd probably get along great with Australia with how scary we both are.

SCanon here and can confirm shit drivers. Especially in the downtown Columbia area and when it rains. The better city is clearly Greenville. Charleston is good for the historic parts and the aquarium and that big ass suspension bridge they finished. Columbia is just a spread out myriad of shitty cities. Lexington is full of meth heads. The rest os the rest. Your best places to visit are Myrtle Beach and Greenville for maximum tourism.

Where I am is filled with poor blacks and old jews. So..that's pretty fun.

Very few of us (relatively) have that accent though.

Most have a standard (ish) midwestern accent that only pops out with the odd word here and there.

The accent you hear from Fargo is more common... well near Fargo really.
>>
>>88076558

I can agree with Greenville. It was gentrified pretty hard a few years back and has a really nice downtown district nowadays. Lots of good restaurants, a nice park, and a pretty strong artsy scene can all be found there.

I've personally never been a fan of Myrtle Beach because I find it almost -too- touristy, but definitely check it out at least once, especially if you're a mini golf fan.

Getting better, but sucks. I'm middle class from suburbs around Detroit, but went to a really high profile highschool because of sports and family being in administration (not Cranbrook). Can't say much about the UP or Lansing or GR. Lot of people care and there's a reason the state went red. Although I'm biased as I've grown conservative over the years.

Detroit is getting better in some areas due to Ilicth (Greek, former Tiger) and Gilberts (Jew, Quiken, puts cameras all over the city) putting money in. They avoid taxes, but when you see how shitty the city handles money I don't blame them.

Detroit schools are utter shit, they blow money on books that they throw in abandoned buildings to steal money. Belle Isle was made a state park for good reason. Those fucks would never have done anything.

Flint had the water crisis due to incompatance and having felons on the city board is never good for publicity.

Dearborn has a lot of Middle Easterners, pretty nice though. The city was only nice because of a mayor hating black people, though. Don't let the propaganda fool you. Caldos hate the Muslims. Hindus usually are in Auburn Hills and Rochester so don't see them often.

Lot of natural beauty. Traverse City, Petoskey, and Elk Rapids are beautiful.

UP is good, but I only know so much from going up their and playing football. Lot of Northeastern and North Central Europeans settled there, so good looking chicks and fucking asshole wrestlers who can't block for shit. Beautiful there. Want to see it in Winter. They mostly ship shit around the lakes, along with some iron and lumber, iirc.

It's easy.
Feed them corn and those brown pellets that make them more fertile or something.
Make sure they have clean water. Those gravity ones with the red bowl are really only good for when you have chicks. Otherwise they get filthy all the damn time.
Give them some sticks to perch on, and boxes to lay eggs in.
Throw down some straw every spring.
And make goddamn sure they're shut in good, from above and below and every fucking side. And you're still going to have to shoot a few possums.
Wire you can stick your hand through is mostly fine, but line the bottom foot and a half with the tiny hexagonal wire so chicks can't get out.

Northern CA fag here, earthquakes are kinda fun when they're a bit below 6.5-7 on the scale. It's like a spontaneous "oh fuck" moment, maybe some dishes shift or tip over and your pet freaks out. The adrenaline rush kinda makes it.
I'd say you're missing out, but honestly it's a roll of the dice until we get shitfucked again like in the loma-prieta quake. You all in the rest of the country are somewhat lucky, at least you can kinda predict when storms come, they're usually seasonal, and you can see it coming at least a couple days ahead with weather service. In anywhere from a second from now, to well over a century from now, we'll get our shit pushed in, maybe, probably, possibly not all.
I don't like this state.
What is it like to live where there's blizzards btw? Only been in the snow a few times, and it's hard to imagine what a blizzard is /really/ like to go through.

Another Ohiofag here.
Weather ranges from "It's Christmas and there is no snow at all" to "its fucking late March and I can't open my door because my entire porch is snowed in".
Roads can get so layered with ice that everyone pretty much gives up on life until its all salted away. I think Cleveland was like that last year.
Snow can be fun though. Ohio is like the land of casual winter sports enthusiasts.
Also at the same time, we strangely got summers as hot as anywhere else.
And it rains like every other week.
My backyard turns into a swamp sometimes (that's more due to my backyard than the amount of rain, but its not uncommon).
Humidity in the summer sucks fucking ass. Thank god for air conditioning otherwise I think the suicide rate would skyrocket.

>>

Funny you mentioned Montana.
I tried doing a quick search for accident rates but the first three results were focused on fatality rates, so I gave up.
But the one I did look at had Montana as the #1 most likely state to die in a car accident.

>Montana has the most cars per driver at just over two, and the second-highest number of deaths per fatality crash, behind New Mexico. Yet somehow, with just 1.31 vehicles involved per collision, it’s the state where drivers are most likely to hit stationary objects. And yes, that also means it’s on par with Florida for hitting pedestrians

A quick glance at the other states it seems like Utah and Connecticut are the safest while not having a surprisingly low number of drivers.

>it rains like every other week.
I...I don't understand. Every other...week? Huh, that sounds nice.
Thank you for telling me that.
Now, my turn, so we get some rain here in the Bay Area, hell, more than in Southern California, poor dry heathen bastards that they are, but only from around October-ish to around May, but it's never more than once every other week on average at the very peak of the very wettest and glorious winters. Once, back in '08 I think, it rained all of April up here. We didn't know what was happening, it was a divine gift maybe. If you think it ever /reliably/ rains from late spring to early fall, haha, no. Maybe once or twice if we're lucky. Now snow around the bay here, that's a very special thing. See, winter here means our nightly lows dip gradually into the 30's (sometimes the 20's, those are the comfy nights), and daily highs fall into the 50's and sometimes 40's (I love the 40's days.), but every so often, it rains during that coldest time of year, and we get a beautiful light dusting on all the hills and low-mountains around the bay. For me especially, seeing this pic but IRL, god it was amazing, driving became dangerous for the two days that snow lasted on that mountain, distractingly gorgeous.
Thunder is very rare too, visible lightning even more so, which fucking sucks, I love when thunderstorms come through.

>For a lark, decide to go to Facebook and see where the people I hung out with in high school are now
>Literally all the girls have two or more kids, most of which were old enough to have been conceived before the mom was even 21

These were the same girls who all throughout high school were very much on the "I'm not going to have kids until I have a stable career, because I'm smarter than those dumb broads who get knocked up right after they graduate!".

The world is a funny place sometimes.

I looked up an old fling on Facebook and she apparently has 3 kids that are walking/talking. 2 of which are from different fathers. I felt kinda bad.

Most of the women I was at school with had kids in their mid-20s, even the college graduates. That biological clock thing is real. It's true that the difficulties are exaggerated, but it's also true that there's a lot of social pressure to have kids early - not least that if you're returning to work even after just a year or six months off, you're probably starting on a lower wage than before you left, so it's better in many ways to have kids early than later if you're bothered about earnings.

The ones who didn't have kids are usually either delusional or miserable or both. Same goes for the men. In your 30s you're that much less likely to meet someone and settle down, because you're set in your ways, because you don't look as hot any more, etc. Money will get you so far, but ultimately, even having a higher disposable income in your 30s isn't more attractive to people who want kids than it is to people who like to party. I see a lot of people getting their time wasted, unaware that 40 is coming.

Nothing against people having kids older or not at all, it's just sad when people go through life thinking they'll do it later and don't actually plan out when or make the kind of changes they need to in order to be ready. As for not being ready... it's a lot easier to put in extra shifts to pay for extra food, clothes, etc or be up all night with a teething baby when you're 25 than when you're 35 or 45, and most people under 40 have had flat wages for the last decade.

I wonder if this is true for men as it is women. Do guys in their mid-20s have higher desires to have kids? Like measurable "I need this more than I did before" feelings during sex and the like?

More rednecks than you've ever seen, but most of them aren't too bad. Nice mountain areas if you're into hiking and camping, and Nashville us a pretty fun town.

I honestly blame the weird ass evangelical strain of Baptism down here. None of my friends raised in any other protestant group do this shit, or the catholics, or the jews. The one muslim dude I knew is married but they aren't rushing kids though. Even the white trash don't marry, expect white picket fences and a nuclear family in three years, and then break down and break up.
>>
>>88086807
I'm 26 and while I think I want kids eventually I'm single right now and even if I were to meet someone tomorrow who we hit it off so well we marry in short order, I think I'd like to wait a good four or five years. So fuck if I know

Seattle. (Although I'm very new to WA, so it probably isn't fair to call me local.)

>Its not like we're sitting on a fault like California.
No, but we have the Cascadia subduction zone instead, which actually has greater destructive potential than San Andreas.

>>88081314

>There was specific coverage of it recently?
There were a couple big articles about it some months ago. Although with all the ongoing low-key murmur about it like you said, it's not really a surprise that it's on people's minds.

I totally agree about Minnesota. It's a super comfy place, but I did visit it in the summer. Would not want to be there when winter hits. Stayed a couple of nights in Duluth and accidentally walked into one of their theaters while they were having a student night. Got to eat some free popcorn and watch a movie for 5$.

Kansas and Florida's teams got wrecked by zombies.

But in general, I think Marvel abandoned the idea when they remembered that 90% of there American heroes were situated in California or New York.

Hawaiifag here. I've never come across someone from Hawaii who said they wanted to be a ninja, so the results of OP's pic surprise the hell out of me. Still, if I had to venture a guess, I'd say that everyone here would theoretically want to be a ninja so they could hide dozens of themselves in a single ninja castle to cut down on the cost of living here.
