We are still missing the time between Pearl's discovery of the mirror by the galaxy warp to the time the mirror was handed off to Steven for Lapis's eventual release.

With hindsight, it was kind of disturbing to see Pearl attempt to order the mirror; her choice of words had a more sinister meaning when we find out that all gems, monster or tool, have sentience to some extent.

Now granted, perhaps the writers did not intend to suggest any significance from Lapis's hesitance to explain further in Same Old World, but it'd be really interesting if there was something that we'll see later on expanding on Lapis's hatred of the CG.

With regards to the ship itself, they're both dancers/feminine types who can also dress well in other outfits due to their physiques, though I suppose this is all considered aesthetic appeal.

Although we have somewhat of an idea of the reasons why she left, you now only caused more fire with this video. Because that's just it, the outreach of SU fans usually forget to inform themselves on sources and will listen to whatever is said on youtube more. Therefore you made a connection between the Beta incident (extreme shipping war) and her possible leaving causing another war that wasn't necessary. It's fine if you ask people to not lash out so much but you should have made the video once we had something more official to confirm on what happened. Than the flames would be limited to one moment instead of twice at the very least.

I really, really want to like Lapis. Like I really do. They just don't give her enough coverage that really shows anything about her though. It's accurate enough to treat people with depression as ambivalent and kind of a buzzkill to be around I guess, but even with that being how they act, there also has to be a certain degree of complexity within the character as well. Depression doesn't just mean you're sad all the time, it means despite however you seem, you feel miserable. They show a little bit in the episode where Steven shows her around earth, and when she saves him and Greg from Jasper, but even with her full story revealed, from the time of the Gem War until current time, she doesn't have really any attributes that would draw you into her as a character.

I'm actually alright with that, but they should highlight it a little more. I think the next few episodes should push more of her dislike of the other gems, but still showing the side that's willing to work with them.

Kind of the "suck it up and deal" attitude would really make her 40% better of a character. It'd both highlight that you can be miserable and still functional and make her look like she's great because of it. Long term development would be her warming up to the other Gems, obviously, but like for a few good short term episodes to get her into a reasonable place on the show would involve highlighting that "I tolerate you" attitude first and foremost.
