I don't think I've ever given this as a response in my life. It's so common that it's weird. People never engage in conversation when someone has something to say about their work; they go into this whole phase like it's an attack on their person and they can't separate themselves from their work. It's weird. 25 years of life and I really don't know why this is such a common response.
What are critics there for, then?
