Why are these the only classic Cartoon Network originals that Boomerang still plays?
They should have an overnight block that can compete with The Splat and show stuff like the three classics currently airing on Boomerang, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, The Powerpuff Girls (not that shitty reboot, the old one from the 90s), Ed, Edd n Eddy, Mike, Lu and Og, Sheep in the Big City, Robot Jones, Kids Next Door, Billy and Mandy, Time Squad, Evil Con Carne, Megas XLR, Justice League, Teen Titans, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, and Camp Lazlo.
If they do an overnight block similar to The Splat, I hope they don't include crap like the live action shows, Gym Partner, Squirrel Boy, Chowder, and Flapjack, as well as the mediocre Class of 3000. That would hurt the block, as I don't want to see Jake's ass on Boomerang ever!

They may not have the rights to most of those shows anymore. Or they are idiots. Six of one thing, half dozen of the other.

I think they're idiots, because they showed the Ed, Edd n Eddy and Billy and Mandy Halloween specials recently, as well as the fact that the 90s Powerpuff Girls series is on Hulu.

agreed
They rebranded to it not being the same boomerang channel. It just plays newer CN shows because they're trying to get more people to watch it, it's supposed to be a CN 2. They said that specifically in a press release. Something about a flagship channel.

If it's a CN 2, then how are Dexter, Courage, Foster's, Flintstones, and Smurfs on the schedule during overnight hours?

What's with kids' channels having cable-only duplicates? Aside from this, there's Disney Channel and Disney XD, and Nickelodeon and Nicktoons. I can't see the benefit of this.

>it's a "waaaah muh nostalgia" thread
t. 90's kid

The 90s were a great time for Cartoon Network though, with shows like The Ed's and Dexter.

Disney Channel and XD aren't really duplicates. Channel just plays generic tween girl shitcoms after and XD plays the cartoons with the only sitcom being Lab Rats
