I don't think that they will be truly happy, because Casey is the new head of the Purple Dragons and Splinter is still the leader of the Foot Clan.

Well the next arc is about the government starting a massive mutant hunt, so probably not.

I can see the first TMNT Universe arc picking up where #64 left off, but I just don't see how Bebop & Rocksteady Destroy Everything! is supposed to take place right after #64.

The Turtles are way too happy and carefree in that story, considering they just had to walk out on their father.

The Foot isn't even is primary concern. His sons still are. He only became master of the Foot so Krai wouldn't, so Kitsune couldn't resurrect Shredder again, and because that way he'd be in a position to make New York safer for his sons, even if he had to drive them away from him to do it.

while this whole "Darius dun" arc wasn't the best, it defeinitely was good with the whole situtation with Splinter.

Donny fucked over Shreadhead to take down Krang and RnB did not like that so they fucked him up hard.
With a sledgehammer, to the shell.
One cliffhanger ending later and they pulled a Fugitoid on him using Metalhead but not before he got to meet his mum in a sprit maze.
Then some other stuff happened and long story short Splinter and Shreadder had a dual to the death and now Splinter runs the foot so guess how that went.

But how did Donny get his body back you ask?
The answer is Fuck you, read the damn book, its good!

Have they made any reference to the Aztec statue guys from the movie? They should be a decent addition to the mythos

Same. On your first point, and the second. I love that IDW's like "Splinter is, and was, a warrior. He kills people." And reading the past issues, I knew that they were heading somewhere that would really fuck with the Turtles, but I didn't know how it was going to be handled. I like Splinter's scheme to deal with the Foot's enemies, and push the Turtles away, for their own good. At least for now.

For me, whenever that's brought up, I chalk it up to them keeping that "only as a last means of survival/victory" really, really close to their heart. Plus, Leo's here is talking more about their relation as a family, than what a straight-up ninja does, and the fact that Darius was fronting big, even though he was beaten, and defenseless.
It's all been screwy since they took over the Foot.

I always loved Karai's approach to the Foot, as a middle-ground to Shredder's and what Splinter's doing. I hope the come up with something new rather then just her being back, and chasing after the turtles and Splinter, again.
I think Karai's depiction is my favorite thing out of IDW's TMNT.
