With or without Launchpad, I'm just curious to which route this reboot is going down. Pray God it has competent writers and doesn't end up like TTG. Don't get me wrong, I love cartoons that have a ludicrous sense of humor, but it would get annoying really fast with I would assume are squeaky and/or high(er)-pitched characters. Hopefully they can produce a comfy and amusing series, unlike Cartoon Network. I mean, Gumball is good, We Bare Bears is alright, but Clarence makes me want to fucking vomit.

Oh hey, it's another reboot based more on the source material than the popular adaptation but still including elements from the adaption, whereby it tries to appeal to everyone and be everything, and so fails to be anything but mediocre, even going so far as to include the old or similar scenes, music and actors instead of going in a new, better direction that the fans really want. It's another reboot that the studio will market via nostalgia, on one hand, and attacking older fans, on the other hand, such as by claiming the reboot isn't for them, even though the new fans hate it as well for being mediocre. I'm sure the marketing team will claim older fans are manchildren, maybe even say they're racist for not liking the main character, because instead of actually promoting the reboot or using good arguments for why the reboot is as good as or better than the original, they'll just use personal attacks and appeal to emotion. I bet they'll even pay bloggers, Youtubers, tabloid journalists, and other nobodies to help market the reboot.

You're right anon, I'm sure the reboot won't introduce the old characters to new fans, but instead rely on people already knowing them, despite the fact the original introduced the characters and despite being a reboot. This of course will lead to nobody caring about the characters and the reboot being hated on top of it being mediocre.
