Don't bother with Marvel. Imagine everything you hate about comics multiplied tenfold. Overpriced rubbish.

Rebirth only really works if you were a massive character fag before New 52. Everyone is something cool, from Marvel I'd recommend Spider-Man and Deadpool or Ultimates, from DC I'd recommend New Super-Man and Trinity.

For DC, check Green Arrow. It might not have great writing but the art has consistently been amazing, and it's nice seeing Ollie and Dina back together.
