Is this not Black Manta's best design? I wouldn't mind

I get that by raising his shoulders they're trying make his large head less disproportionate, but personally it makes the design look more jarring to me. I'd rather the upper body be more regular.

The weird "exposed torso" look sucks, and the way it's broken up is just unpleasant to look at. He kind of looks like a chad in a tracksuit more than anything.

the wierd thing about black manta is he's one of like, 5 cape characters that actually has a decent reason to wear the muscled bodysuit, and writers don't have to contrive some stupid reason why it's somehow more functional than normal clothing.
This isn't why I like him, it's just odd.
