The art is good, and there's some interesting enough mental illness and mysterious past stuff going on.

Not as good as the other Young Animal stuff but still better than average.

I think this has the potential to be the Rebirth Batman I never got. It's interesting enough, has really nice art and has Batman in it.. sort off.

It was pretty cool, great art, interesting plot. Yeah, it uses the mature label to do some twisted stuff with the villain and Violet's broken mother is very interesting.

The art looks great but when I read it it was mostly a less edgy Batwoman, yeah. Even the trippy fairytale mother stuff and horror-mode villain is hard to distinguish from Batwoman's Alice and supernatural vibe.

I liked Batwoman though, so I'mma keep reading this until it really seems like it's not worth reading. IMO Doom Patrol didn't hit its stride until this issue, so I'm happy to give them all 3.

Batwoman kinda got shafted though, if you like Batwoman then this seems more in tune with Elegy period Batwoman and not current Batwoman.

And I liked that she isn't related to Batman and has a different costume and not a variation of the classic Batman/Batgirl/Batwoman/Nightwing aesthetic.

Yeah, I'd totally agree with that. It seems like a spiritual successor to Elegy Batwoman, it's just so close to the bone that it felt a little unoriginal to me. I do like the separation from the Bat and the design is 10/10 especially with the glow-in-the-dark skycycle and shit. It's got a spectral look to it.
