Why must Marvel make everything tacticool now? Did they honestly think viewers wouldn't be able to get past Spider-Man's iconic outfit? What the fuck is this shit?
How was Dr. Strange tacticool?
It's to appeal to a broader audience to make the comicbook characters look less outlandish, they got rid of Thor's helmet for that reason.
This is why Reimi's Spider-Man costume is still my favorite.
>>87560686
Raimi and ASM 2 outfits will always be the best ones. Viewers didn't seem to mind them, why did they change it here? If anything the pointless black lines make it look even more stupid.
>>87560649
Whats wrong with that? Color scheme is right on.
Is this a MCU sperg falseflag operation to distract from the retarded humor that ruins all of these movies?
They have to make it look different so that casual audiences aren't confused. It's why the suit it the ASM 1 was so different too. In future movies it'll probably look more and more like the classic.
>>87560686
They got rid of Thor's helmet because he couldn't turn his head
>>87560850
Really gonna ignore the shitty design and random ass black lines?
>>87560877
No, those suck too. Also the repetitive formula they use.
>>87560940
That's retarded. 300 and Troy came a decade ago and they had no problems with the helmets. It's a problem of the general design in general
>>87560960
I've seen worse from Marvel comics themselves.
To sell toys
>>87560960
The design is fine
>>87560649
Because marvel can't do costumes right, I don't know why you think spider-man would've been an exception.
it has the best eyes of any live action Spider-Man AND the webbing is just black lines, not all shiny and made of raised whatever the fuck it was in the Raimi movies. Who cares if he has a black line on his shoulder? They did the essentials better than any other Spider-Man costume.
>>87560960
>random ass black lines?
It's to mimic the black shading from the comic books, and to make it appear like the actor has more muscle tone
They did the same thing with Daredevil's suit, and many others in live action. Like this one, they put those red lines in there to make Wally's ribs and chest muscle look a little more toned
I'm not saying it's the best way to go, but it does look a little better than a shitty comic-con cosplay suit made of spandex
>>87560649
>Missing the point this badly
That suit was designed by Tony Stark, dingus.
>>87561073
Maybe the actors should get ripped for these roles.
>>87560989
Yeah, but it never got as bad as MCU Spider-Man.
>>87561004
You're delusional.
>>87561073
But the Raimi outfit and the ASM2 outfit were perfect and no one seemed to have an issue with them.
>>87561127
Dude, get off it. There is nothing wrong with the suit.
Tacticool is cool
The second one is evidently the worst.
>>87561345
nothing right about it either
>>87561533
here's a better pic
>>87561533
I actually like the three of them, any of those are better than most things the comics have done in the last 20 years.
>>87561533
Yes but what about the TASM2 suit?
>>87560649
/k/ here, you keep using that word.
>>87561551
First is best.
Second looks like a Chinese knock-off.
Third looks like it got sharpie'd on.
>>87561533
in this one the MCU spidey clearly has the best eyes, the best web lines and the best texture
>>87561551
and in this one MCU spidey looks like cosplay
>finally non-raised webbing
>most accurate eyes yet
>black parts and blue lines
So close. No upgrade in Homecoming either it seems.
>>87561111
They do, have you SEEN Tom Holland? The problem is you're not gonna see the muscles through the clothes the way you do in comics. It's also why they complicate the shit out the Flash, because otherwise it'd just be a flat red across his body.
>>87561619
>Third looks like it got sharpie'd on.
That's what Peter would do
He may be a genius but he also has no budget
>>87561571
marvel shill don't like bringing it up
>>87561630
>finally non-raised webbing
non-issue
>most accurate eyes yet
that would be asm2
>expecting anything else from Marlel
>2016
MCU suit looks ok from certain angles
>>87561738
>that would be asm2
no
>>87561816
I don't know how to interpret that image.
>>87562003
Fan Binbing is fappable af, is how I interpret it
>>87561922
yes
>>87560940
>They got rid of Thor's helmet because it wouldn't stay on his head during action scenes
Ftfy
>>87562112
fuck no
>>87562137
Yeah. But if we go with this relevant spider-man design that would mean marvel did nothing about his costume right and you probably would like to avoid this as much as possible.
>>87561345
You can't honestly tell me those black lines don't look stupid.
>>87561127
>it never got as bad as MCU Spider-Man
Get the fuck out of here, it got much much worse.
>>87562269
no, jut posting examples of well-done Spider-Man eyes. And you?
>>87562329
At least you dropped the angle that they're the most comic accurate.
>>87562311
So, you think the suit always looked stupid?
>>87562369
No, they're the most accurate AND the best.. You know what else is comic accurate? Not having raised shiny metallic web markings.
>>87562416
>You know what else is comic accurate? Not having raised shiny metallic web markings.
Only if we conveniently ignore botched color and pattern.
>>87561682
But the suit was made by Tony Stark.
Who has a slightly higher budget
You're right, it needs to look even more grounded and realistic.
>>87561816
>>87562410
The webbing made sense. Are you purposely acting stupid about the random shit on his arms or are you just blind?
>>87561816
I mean half of these are garbage
It looks good. Shut it mouth breather.
>>87565280
>It looks good.
No it doesn't, it's the worse costume we've had so far, save for the ASM1 outfit. Even the one from the 70s looked better.
>Shut it mouth breather.
Why? Because I was critical of your beloved MCU? Get fucked /tv/.
>>87560741
>>87560741
>Viewers didn't seem to mind them, why did they change it here?
To differentiate it. How the fuck are they supposed to sell toys if it looks like the old spider-man?
I swear people on this board need to step outside once a week.
>>87565614
>How the fuck are they supposed to sell toys if it looks like the old spider-man?
Are you on crack? Spider-Man sells like wildfire when it comes to toys, hell when it comes to everything. And it's usually the one that looks more recognizable that sells more.
>>87565614
>They're having a hard time selling a Spider-Man toy.
>>87565646
>>87565673
It's pretty obvious that he meant that if they sell a Garfield Spider-Man toy, and then they sell another Tom Holland Spider-Man toy that looks identical to the Garfield one, kids that already have a Spider-Man toy won't want a second one. If they change the costume they can sell to kids that already have Spider-Man toys because this one is slightly different.
