Americans does have the strongest history of prudishness, though, I'll give you that. Censoring nudity is understandable for media geared towards a younger audience, like ages 13 and below, I certainly don't want kids to have any sexuality obviously implied in their toons as that could alienate them or give them premature urges.

However, certain nude scenes related to certain characters showering or bathing or nude in the open without showing their genitals or breasts should be acceptable for all programs 17+ and below, the target audience is more mature and won't make a big deal out of it.

However, full blown nudity in an R-rated toon with sexual actions implied and/or done in view of the audience? It belongs, sure, but only in certain shows because I don't want EVERY R-rated show to always have sex scenes, I'm not a deviant.
