Anyone here care to explain the appeal of Sandman? Pages look like a bunch of mish-moshed beautiful art and what would the story of this comic happen to be?

Half of it is slice-of-life about the universal incarnation of dreams and his family, the other (worse) half is about how he dies. It's one of these comics like Shade or Transmet that will just have a single issue or arc largely separate from the whole because they wanted to write/draw it and it was good. The Prez part of Sandman is some of my favourite comics ever.

Joe will go back to earth and hunt down demons and in return every time he dies he gets to spend a few fleeting moments with Laura in heaven.
The Squidder - An old soldier from a forgotten war in a post-apocalyptic world that has left him behind. He was one of the last of the legendary Squidder Legions, a group dedicated to fighting the Lovecraftian horrors.
