There are scores of college movies. They probably thought they were being really clever by doing "Monsters Inc go Animal House" but as it turns out, they weren't and we got a movie that has been done before a multitude of times. I don't hate it, it just wasn't very memorable.

I enjoyed that Mike and Sully each learned to play to their strengths and that we got a greater understanding of Mike's role as an assistant. He's the plan guy.

The fact that it's a good prequel makes it worth watching, if only out of sheer novelty.

But it does overplay the college cliches in the middle, I'll give you that one
