What is "set up"? Yes, I understand the purpose of it. But the Two-Face stuff at the end was just a rushed conclusion to that plot arc. Then they brush it off in the first few minutes of Rises.

The real point of The Dark Knight lay in Joker's attempt to prove that he was right, but without Dent nothing he does has any payoff. The third movie should have its own plot and its own set of themes, and its own conflict aside from what the previous movie's villain was attempting to achieve.
