This seems pretty good; I like the concept that the monster thing she fought is the overarching bad guy (or a servant of the bad guy) and the show will be about wacky adventures and also getting closer to the girl uncovering the mystery and getting out. I'd like to have more context in the actual show if it gets one.

Girl was serviceable, Ellie's voice is kind of weird but she works.
Robot is kind of annoying, I wish he just had his quirky side, his Eeyore part isn't funny at all.

Infinity Train, the girl really has chemistry with no one and she's not a strong enough character to carry the plot herself. the robots really have no reason to be there since they don't really have funny banter with the girl, nor do they have anything really going on for themselves

I feel the same. I see more potential in infinity train though. It just needs the cleanup to the art style that a bigger budget would give it, a more cohesive art style overall, and one or two characters that actually have chemistry with the lead. She really is well done but falls flat because she's on her own. She needs someone who is opposite to her but not on an extreme, just someone weak where she's strong and strong where she's weak.

I can imagine the best option would be to introduce someone more adventurous but not all that clever. Not an idiot sidekick, just someone average in smarts but who maybe gets more exercise.

From what they've shown I don't think the robots have potential for much more than a mascot/animal sidekick type of role. Obviously something about them is important given the other robot's reaction, but it certainly isn't their conversation skills.

As for who to pair with her, the least they could do is a ron stoppable who knows martial arts. The least. They need to be more interesting and fantastical though to contrast her being just a "normal" girl. Like if she ran into some zombie knight errant on a quest, a lovable goofball with a heroic heart, useful in a fight, but crap at puzzles.

Maybe someone with a more creative personality, someone who would daydream in math class while she would sit at attention. That kind of personality works well in bouncing off one like hers. If more of the cars involved puzzles then they'd both work well together.

Hell give her both of those examples as sidekicks. She's a lost girl like dorothy and the robot is not much more than a toto, so give her a scarecrow, tin man, or cowardly lion.

I could spend all night coming up with ideas for support characters for her in that setting. There's plenty of potential.

That sounds like literally the worst possible route they could go, and far from the most original one. Show looks different and interesting, good humor that doesn't resort to memes or references, only flaw I see so far is that the robots are a bit annoying, but this can be tweaked pretty easily.

Stuff like this that is very literal escapism always makes me feel uncomfortable, if it becomes a series I want it to make commentary on how people deal with stress and pain, using the fantasy world to metaphorically show them coming to terms with their identity, which it seems like it would do. This kind of story would be easy to mess up and difficult to do intelligently, so I would like to see how it would evolve past the pilot, even though I will probably feel very vulnerable and weak like I was a middle schooler again.

CN is actually one of the best networks when it comes to picking up good pilots. So many good shows came out of What A Cartoon!. At least they let us watch the ones they don't make into shows.

Animation's pretty damn good.

The mysterious story has me legitimately intrigued.

Main character isn't a whiny bitch, seems competent, has genuine reaction to giant mechanical tentacle monster thing so she isn't fearless, but still stalwart. The voice doesn't really bug me too much; she is young, after all.

The robot sidekicks are a neat, I like how it's 2 robots in one with 2 personalities, makes for an interesting Gir/Marvin duality.

Humor seemed pretty good, didn't groan at anything. Wasn't overly childish for too long, nor was it all going over my head.

Given what we've seen, it has a ton of potential. A Rube Goldberg machine traincar? A fart car? A car that houses a dimension of intelligent corgis? Literally no limits given those circumstances. They can do ANYTHING they want. It could get on SCP levels of insanity.

I'd love to see this as a series, even if it had to be limited, what with that number on her hand being what I assume is some sort of mcguffin that will eventually lead her to the end of the train.
