I like the end of this issue and i hope it leads to some concrete progress for the character after all this time. Honestly the journey so far has just been mediocre and frustrating, and I'll be bootyblasted they wasted James Stokoe on this if this doesn't end up actualizing into something good soon. Sucks cause MK is one of my faves too so i should be able to tolerate more ups and downs.

I guess i just feel like Moon Knight has SO MUCH POTENTIAL, and i can only see this run alienating new readers cause of how aimless and vague it all is.

I meant more in the sense that there isn't much that's attempting to engage the reader anew; i can only imagine Moon Knight fans sticking it out for this long. Yes there's a clear narrative (it's just very scatterbrained for obvious reasons), i wasn't just saying it was random nonsense.

I'm guessing all this is a charade orchestrated by Khonsu not because he's dying, but because Marc is, both mental and physical, since the first issue. The whole thing has been unusually trippy since first issue, and there's been clues there to think that way. I'm not a fan of how Lemire resolves his stories, so I don't know if this is going to work in the end.

It's a mystery with an unreliable narrator who may or may not be completely fucking nuts. Those are the best stories. The art shifts, the constant cuts between realities - it's giving you an up close look at what mental instability looks like.

You people want straightforward vigilante beat 'em ups? Fine. Go read any of the other hundreds of books out there.

This is an interesting run.
On one hand, I agree with everyone saying that the book is aimless and largely devoid of narrative thrust. It does seem like this mindfuck shit has gone on for a long time and that the actual story has fallen by the wayside.
On the other hand, I'm really loving the art and all the crazy ideas. Despite the fact that this series has just been going in circles for ages...I find those circles immensely entertaining and satisfying for reasons that I can't quite explain.
I understand the haters and I don't think they have shit taste. Their complaints are valid. But I love this book. One of the few times I can legitimately claim that the quality is subjective.

Do people really not get it? This entire story has been Khonshu's attempt to take over marcs body. He is using MK's mental instability to his benefit, none of this is happening in the physical world. The next issue should be the epic final confrontation, I'm pretty stoked for it.

I have my doubs about the takeover thing.
I mean: it's not the first time Khonshu is playing Marc with guileness because he wanted him to do certain thing in a twisted way.

Remember the first pages of the first issue (Khonsu speech about Marc dying and being born again), and the fact that htere were two moon kinghts in the pyramid, besides the God itself.

To me, that "I'm dying and I need your body) stuff is a fake, either made up by Khonshu, or by NuMarc himself. The aim is probably to make a new, more stable, personality. Probably bassed in the Mr Knight stuff that got popular in the former run. The next arc deals with one of this personalities origins.

Feels like they're trying to put some ground for the character overall, I guess because they're planning on getting a TV series for him.
