Good man. That said, I disagree with everything else you said. Arkham actually caught me by surprise, due to previous conditioning by decades of fandom.

I'm also really liking a Bruce/Batman that fucks up occasionally, can just about handle a group of toughs and still takes hits like a human, and comes away from big fights injured and bloodied. I don't LIKE batgod. He's always at his most boring when in that mode.

Year 2/Earth One is my Batman sweet spot. He's established, but still not where he will be one day, where he is so competent and jaded that he is the dullest thing in his own book and has to have side characters be vulnerable and relatable FOR him. It's hard enough to relate to a billionaire vigilante at the best of times.
