but he very explicitly wasnt, he flat out says its because if there is a 1% chance that Superman turns he has to kill him. Sure he was blinded by the death of a robin, but that doesnt change his motivation. He too believed (like Lex) that Superman cant be all good and all powerful, but instead was willing to admit he was wrong unlike Lex.
