Anyone else remember this show, been trying to find it online for months now

>>
>>87192175
Yeah, sadly we have just about no hope of seeing that show anytime soon. Sad story, I was actually really young when that show last aired and was really into recording my own DVDs. I was going to record every episode of it to DVD but missed the first minute or so of episode 1 and gave up. Hate myself for that. Hopefully someone out there has it so I can one day forgive myself for what happened.

This reminds me that we never got to see the full episodes of "Wicked!". It's also based on a Morris Gleitzman book and a user on YouTube uploaded the movie in 9 parts and said they had all the episodes, but they never uploaded them :(

I saw in one of the YouTube channels that some of you wanted details on the plot, storyline and characters etc. if anyone here wants that kinda stuff just keep the thread up til tomorrow afternoon (Auatralian time). I know heaps about the show but I need to get some sleep now.

Can also say I've contacted SLR about releasing it multiple times and they've given me the bullshit story of the show being on tape and not "digitised" for release, to which I said, "Can you digitise it then?" which left them stumped. Then later on came the much more realistic answer that since the show was made in a contract with Nine, they have no rights to release or re-sell it to another network. I've also contacted Nine who say their rights to the show have expired. So that's why I don't see us seeing the show again anytime soon, unless some amazing guy out there has the episodes and can share, possibly someone who worked on the show. There was also a guy in the YouTube comments last year saying he'd try to upload all the episodes but he may have just been a troll.
>>
>>87192534
Damm, is there any way to find out who has the rights or is it just in some legal grey zone
>>
always hated this show, but not as much as I hated little elvis. THAT show is unforgivable

Saw a couple of episodes a decade ago while visiting family in Jamaica. Decent kids' TV fare from what I remember.

Trivia bit - Arthur Filloy, who illustrated the original book the cartoon was based upon, has worked extensively in film and TV animation. He has worked on, among other things, several episodes of Ren and Stimpy.
>>
lel
>>
I remember this used to air on POP in the UK about 6 or 7 years ago.
That's the end of my story.
>>
I don't get what Jim meant about a gumby. I don't think it has anything to with the character.
>>
>>87180889
Still better than Johnny Test.
>>
>>87192868
That boy Lionel could sure play his didgeridoo
>>
>>87192828
I suggest just have enough people contact SLR Productions about it. I think they do have the full rights now that Nine's have expired, they just don't realise it. They're easy to find if you Google them. Been a few years since I contacted them anyway
>>
>>87180889

I mean it's certainly not the ugliest show I've ever seen.
>>
>>87180889
I have forgotten about this cartoon.
>>
>>87203578
Johnny Test is worse though still.
>>
This show needs lots of fanfiction and artwork.
>>
Seems crazy familiar, but I can't think what channel it aired on in the states to save my life.
>>
Occasionally we make gems like this but I can't stand our voice acting pool. They use the same few people in every cartoon and it's been that way for about 15 years.
>>
>>87192534

Discovery Kids.
>>
>>87213694
Tonight? In which time zone? Because since they're a business, I'd only expect them to answer from like 10am-4pm AEST
>>
>>87213753
I'm in Victoria right now, and its already like 3:50pm
Better Call now
>>
>>87213600
Well essentially, the two main characters were brother and sister and their father went missing when they were really young. I *think* the brother might have only been a step brother, but not sure. The sister was way more obsessed with finding her dad though. There's also three bad guys, in the form of evil triplets who look about 4 but I think they're meant to be like 9. They're obsessed with this blue plant which possibly they need to make them older again, as I think maybe they were somehow turned into kids. As I write this, more stuff is coming to me so sorry for contradicting everything I write. So I think the two kids had a baby brother which was actually their dad, who also got turned into a kid, and they try to take the blue plant away from the three evil triplets so they can use it to get him back to normal. I think that's about it for now. I'll post more if it comes to me.
>>
>>87213753
Okay, just called them.
I was told to talk to Suzanne Ryan about the show and told to email them.
>>
>>87211976
That's mainly because they're the only real voice actors available. It'd probably be a good career path for people to look into desu.
>>
>>87213897
Oh shit, I remember Suzanne Ryan. That name is stuck in my memory, I believe she's like the head, or at least the woman everyone gets directed to.

Would anyone be interested in me trying to find the emails? I definitely still have them saved somewhere.

This USED to be as rare as Deadly! so I guess there's some hope. I really want to find the full episodes of Wicked! though, since we know someone out there clearly has masters of it.
>>
>>87214037
Wow, I completly forgot about that show.
I just emailed SLR so I'll let you guys know when and If I make any progress in finding Deadly I'll post it on /co/
>>
>>87213998
That's essentially what I sent her, so go ahead, seems good. You should also point out that Channel Nine told you they no longer have the rights to the show. Just casually throw that in there so she can't use that excuse.

I'll also send her another soon, more to to express interest in an iTunes release or inform her that she could post the episodes to YouTube with monetisation, and profit off the show that way. Essentially just try and make her realise that the show is being wasted.
>>
>>87214107
Crap, I already sent it.
If she mentions the Channel 9 stuff I'll reply that they no longer have the rights
>>
>>87214153
No worries, cool. Make sure you make it clear that Channel 9 actually told you that. If needed, I can screenshot the email they sent me so you can attach it.
>>
>>87214192
Yeah that'd be cool if you send me the email so I can send that too her
>>
>>87213952
Ok, good news. I found the emails I sent and will post screenshots here shortly. Turns out I only emailed them twice. Once in late 2013 and once in early 2014. So something very well may have changed since then.

Reading this now, it seems that they said it wasn't digitized for DVD, meaning digital copies do exist, they just never intentionally mastered DVD copies. By the way, turns out I sent this in 2015. They flat out ignored me in 2013 and 2014.

If you guys can find dontact details for more people who did work on it who I haven't contacted, please do your best to contact them. Just because I didn't have luck with these people doesn't mean there aren't people out there who may have copies.
>>
Okay, I found everything BUT the email from Nine. Maybe I actually sent a letter or called them, not sure. You guys should contact them as well though.
>>
>>87213885
Okay, found some official details. Was actually kinda close.

Her dad is missing, but it's her mum that got turned into a kid. And the blue plants do cause people to stay young forever, but apparently in a bad way.
