I'm surprised nothing has came of Edison. Kaboom is a comedy jobber and Kamran has probably been her biggest threat so far but that was only because he is a lacky of a bigger time villain. Kamran won't be able to make arch status being someone's bitch. Becky has best shot but with her funding gone there is no telling how she could make a comeback.

She made a looting group of electrical engineers stop trying to make bank with copper and do the wiring for the impromptu shelter they organised at Cole's Academic High School. They managed to get hundreds of people in there during the chaos in the city, organised an orderly registration process, installed food stands and other amenities before getting up to an end-of-the-world dance of Bollywood proportions. The shelter was well defended by the Football team around Josh the Jock and Loki's guardian golems.
It's not quite clear how much of that would have happened without the circle of students around Kamala.
But she did also bust out her brother who had been kidnapped and exposed to a kind of synthetic Terrigen-like substance by Kamran.
How much precisely Kamala did off-panel in those hours and how far the effects went is hard to tell because the book fades to white and resumes 8 months later. But at that point Kamala is well known in Jersey and has kind of mascot status.
So she must have made some waves, I guess.

How early was this appearance? Ms Marvel was originally going to be a fangirl of Reed Richards (with similar stretchy-type powers) but was shifted to Captain Marvel at somewhat the last minute. A kid using the Wizard's equipment strikes me as an idea that might have been had from when Kamala was still based off of Reed, the young "Ms Fantastic" fighting a disciple of the Wizard, those two have an old grudge going way back that is almost as bad as Reed/Doom (albeit with the Wizard being, well, you know, lame).
