Generally the 'Golden Age' is considered to have ended with Season 9, though I've heard some anons consider Season 10 to be its last 'good' run.

That said, you should just keep watching until you find yourself uninvested anymore. You'll know when you should stop watching.

Last season was when I finally stopped watching Simpsons. I saw every episode before that, and while there were a lot of stinkers towards the end, there were still some good episodes mixed in.

Maximum Homerdrive is one of my favourite episodes. Sure, the concept is dumb, but it has some good jokes and I think that the Homer/Bart bonding at the core of the story holds.
