Flashpoint wasn't "one of the biggest comic events". It was literally just filler that they threw a reboot into the last 3 pages. Johns didn't even get to do the story he actually had planned.

That being said I haven't watched this show since the last couple of episodes of S2 so don't take this as a defense of their execution. Just pointing out that you don't understand proper context here.

They're both straight, and Grant is attracted to her, but she's very clearly not attracted to him.

This was one of the biggest problems with Flash from the beginning: Iris is a fairly poor actress who has good personal chemistry with the actor who played Eddie but zero with Grant.

This is why her scenes with Eddie make her look like a good actress (when in actuality she's not faking) and the ones with Grant make her look terrible (she can't muster enough fake love to avoid looking bored and annoyed)
