Anybody else think the Iliad would make an excellent animated series or film? A lot of the passages in that story could only be done justice in animated form.

Live action CG.
With strong independent female characters.

You could probably do some trippy things with those epic similes
Su prong how little Greek epics were turned into animated movies

>the Iliad
I'd rather see an Odyssey adaptation, I've always liked it more.
Actually, scratch that, I want more Norse stories.

How about finnish mythology? That one always gets forgotten.

Definitely. People are doing a lot with mythology nowadays i.e. Gods of Egypt, The X of the Titans movies, whatever. Would be fun to see the Iliad as a movie or show.
Also Odyssey.

In sci-fi flavor.

I might have watched this as a kid if the Jesus looking MC hadn't fooled me into thinking it was a Christian anime.

It's hard to do a movie about a culture where it's illegal for two strangers to be within 5 meters of one another.

Every single adaptation insists on toning down either the homoerotic vibe or the myth aspect. I've lost all hope regarding this or the Odyssey.
