All of them have issues within the last ten years. Most of them five. Every single one of them has been adapted for screen except Fables (which has a video game) and Yotsuba (and if you aren't familiar then shame on you).

I'm surprised Dennis O'Neil's The Question isn't on there. But read that, it's one of the best runs DC ever put out.

I'd recommend O'Neil's Question, Brubaker's Catwoman, Palmiotti and Gray's Jonah Hex, Superman: Secret Identity, Bone, Afterlife with Archie, Punisher MAX and The Goon as starting points.
