Crap. The Only one I can think of is Midnighter, but he's already gay. The other male heroes I like aren't alpha male stereotypes. Superman's too nice and Batman's too reserved. The others I wouldn't call "manly men".

I guess there's Luke Cage. If he was suddenly gay I would probably wouldn't buy his book. It's not that I have a problem with gay people; a sudden change like that would be insulting to the reader's intelligence.

It's actually kinda funny: Closet came first, and that was the one that got all the news sites and even a few papers up in a slight huffy, mostly because the preview was just the first page. So it was really more of a marketing ploy for an otherwise decent but not much else story about citizens.
Tough Love, meanwhile, came out a few months later in the Judge Dredd Megazine and was written by John Wagner. Yet it got none of the fanfare Closet did. I guess one Big Gay Dredd story per year was enough for CBR and whatnot.
