I actually just came here to say the opposite. This is WAY more palatable a redesign than that try-hard cliche shit. At least they've gotten the raison d'etre of the costume closer to the original:

Speaking as someone who actually read the Warren and Harris Comics, I'm actually looking forward to this. I never gave any time or fucks to the various recent reboot attempts, but Paul Cornell was one of the contributors to the 90s renaissance so it should be good.

It's pretty much the main reason people buy Vampirella, Red Sonja and Dejah Thoris.

This is the second attempt at a "female friendly" relaunch in less than two years. I'm surprised they didn't revert to cheesecake yet. Maybe the next volume. Kate Leth's version lasted 5 whole issues.

It's even getting an OGN this week! You can add some sales to that for digital numbers and trades, but it's still pretty bottom-of-the-barrel.
