Weiss and Yang was the logical choice, they are the team's most skilled fighter and the team's trump card. Blake only won her fight on the train because of Weiss' dust rounds. Yang got knocked down once by Arslan (and got up stronger anyway).

Ruby is a good leader and putting the doubles round to a vote was a good choice.

Ruby did none of that though. At all.

She really is not a leader beyond shouting the triggers for team combos. If you actually go through the show she doesn't act like a leader so much as just another member of the team. And it's barely a fucking team as it is.

They have repeatedly split up when there is absolutely no reason to do so and have been slaughtered as a result. They don't seem to like working together. Yang always starts the battles by fucking off on her own, Blake also fucks off on her own and Weiss and Ruby just seem to occupy the same space and don't know how to gang up on people.

The shit people keep bringing up to show she's a good leader often falls real quick soon after or is just the equivalent of a spot in a match that has connections before it.

So fater pic related happened I saw a lot of people suggesting that Jaune's real symbol is a bunny rabbit even though his shielth and all promotional material involving him is a crescent moon thing. But then this occurred to me: What if Jaune is also connected to the legend of the moon rabbit? The story that there is a celestial rabbit that lives on the moon and creates the elixir of eternal life for the moon goddess.

I get that's an odd thing to mix with Joan of Arc, but it wouldn't be the first composite character in the show, and if his true symbol is a rabbit, you can't deny that him at first being associated with moons is a coincidence.

Are you quite sure? Neo, Emerald and Adam are fairly complex characters, I would say.

Adam- he's an anti-human terrorist who genuinely believes he fights for a noble cause, and seems to inspire his troops competently. Yet he also has an abusive streak, and has gone a bit crazy over his ex. Trusting that Miles and Kerry aren't just being inconsistent with him, that seems like an interesting scenario for a character.

Neo is a little more than just a straightforward smug sadist, as many mistake her for. Her relationship with Roman, in which she imitates and defers to him, shows that she isn't just a self-centred psycho. She can care for people too.

And Emerald. Oh man. Emerald is my One. I could go on a whole rant about why she is interesting and great, but I've already defended her a few times and would like to try defending Adam anc Neo instead.

Mercury and Cinder could become much more interesting based on their current characterisation, but I want to see more of their respective backstories and character development before I judge. I feel like we haven't gotten the full picture, with them, quite yet.
