X men First class is a good update on younger Cyclops stories and it's considered Canon so go ahead and add it. Most cyclops stories are within the X men and feature him prominently so it's a bit harder to make a comprehensive reading list of him, to understand cyclops you gotta read the X men as whole since he's always been a major player at the centre of the action with few exceptions
