Why are you not talking about this more /co/? Or did you miss it?(I stumbled upon it by accident, it doesn't appear to be promoted very well) Or am I just terrible slowpoke?
Anyway, how did you like it?
Personally, I don't like it all that much, because it's just not much fun. But I guess it could work as something completely disconnected from previous iterations of The Tick.

I fucking loved it. It managed to hit a sweet spot between cynical realism and the absolute ridiculousness of men in tights. The scene where The Terror beat the Flag Five using weaponized syphillis that ate their eyes before having his men blow their brains out had my jaw drop. I've never seen something so horribly fantastic in my entire life. The costume design looked like it belonged in Power Rangers but the set dressing, violence, and power manifestation were straight up realistic. Any other show would have fumbled the tone right out of the starting gate but this show nailed it on the first try. THe coin joke and eating Arthur's ice cream was the perfect ending to that entire scene.

What do you mean by the old stuff? Because I'm not familiar with the comics, but I found it very very different from the cartoon. Which isn't necessarily bad, but it takes some getting used to.

I didn't like the look of the Terror but other the character was fine. I really did enjoy the pilot.

I like it, it fit the original comic better than the cartoon and other sitcom did.
