What is Disney's policy on songs in cartoons? Anything over a minute in length is technically a song and the rights go to the writer of the song, making further releases like on DVD's and such very complicated if the writer isn't willing to play ball. Knowing Disney they would probably avoid songs altogether or have ownership of the souls of everyone involved thrice over.

Simple, no Disney TV cartoon gets a DVD release except for one or two best of collections. Unless its a Disney Afternoon cartoon, then it gets canceled one volume short of completion.
