The creator of Twelve Forever is one of the top names working on nuPPG. Whatever charm the Twelve Forever pilot had was due largely to Matt Berry being incredible, and the Butt Witch having superb ass and tits. Second, Lina is a sorceress, she's underdeveloped, her personality is completely different from Vambre's, and she's a traveling bandit killer.
Third, Slayers didn't invent the medieval fantasy setting.
The only real similarity that remained from it's Slayer roots I can think of is that they're warriors, and they're mercenaries, which is exactly what Gourry from Slayers is, a Mercenary swordsman. But even then, that's such a vague and common trope from fantasy stories that it's not even worth mentioning.

This show is nothing like Slayers anymore aside from the main characters looking vaguely similar in appearance. Slayers is a seinen anime, MMS is a mediocre cartoon made to sell toys.

I don't find Butt Witch appealing beyond being voiced by Matt Berry. Not sure why anyone finds her attractive. But I feel that way about most characters /co/ finds attractive. But I still think Twelve Forever is infinitely more appealing and has more potential than Magiswords. Even being friends with several of the people who work on the show can't get me to come around on this. But maybe it'll grow on me. Almost everything else on the channel has grown on me. Even shit that I outright hated for months on end. At least I'm mostly neutral on this.
