Why, I do believe it's time for Star Trek!

But enough about me, how's your weekend shaping up?
Yes, I'm finally getting around to the very last issues of Star Trek v4. Kind of odd, knowing that it's ended. Hasn't hit me as hard as Dark Horse no longer doing Star Wars, of course, but still...
I mean, this is the third longest-running Trek ongoing ever (or fourth, given that Star Trek v3 and TNG v2 are tied for first). This is one of the first modern comics that I've ever storytimed on a regular basis... and now it's gone.
I won't lie, I honestly thought it'd run longer than the Gold Key Trek comic, which somehow managed 61 issues (quite a few reprints, but still...)
I like Star Trek.

Is it canon?

Star Trek v4 does seem to be at least partly canon with the rebootverse - several issues have tied in with Into Darkness. Of course, officially only the shows and movies are canon soooo... yeah.

It's a shame seeing the current state of Dark Horse. They used to be the biggest of the little guys, and now they're getting beat by IDW.

>tfw I love Usagi Yojimbo, Groo and Nexus, but that's clearly not enough to keep them afloat
They're going to get bought out, aren't they?

That's it for Star Trek v4...
... it's time for Dick Tracy!
The bump systems for storytimes is rough.

Yeah, it needs an overhaul.
>>85990019
I'm sad it's over, I thought it was a great way to get more stuff from a series that was asking to be expanded upon.
>>85993423
It was kinda hit and miss for me, but when it hit it knocked it out of the park...
That's enough Dick for today...
... Buddy Hackett would've been 92 on Wednesday...
... James Coburn would've been 88...
... Noble Willingham would've been 85...
... Richard Gere was 67...
... Julie Brown was 58...
... Dee Bradley Baker was 54...
... Sally Rand died 37 years ago that day...
... Michael Sheard died 11 years ago...
... and Stan Goldberg died two years ago.
>>85988923
No, only Trek TV and Films are canon

>One ship is more than twice the size of the other
>everything is still in the same place
okay then
Hal Douglas, who had a cameo in a Johnny Bravo special, would've been 92 on Thursday...
... Gene Colan would've been 90...
>>85995284
I fully accept this as 100% canon.
... Lily Tomlin was 77...
... Joe Jusko was 57...
... Ken Levine, who gave us the Freedom Force games, was 50...
... Dave Wittenberg was 45...
... and Dean Jones died of Parkinson's disease a year ago that day. He was 84.
Well, I'll see you tomorrow, for more licensed comics and the usual stuff.
