IMO, a comic is more likely to be good if the creator is passionate for creating that comic.

And a creator is more likely to be passionate if they created and own the characters/concepts and make their own decisions about where to take the story (most indies) than if they were ordered by their editor to take over a title and ordered by their editor where to take the story (most Marvel and DC).

i think arkham asylum is boring, and not very good. art is top notch 8/10 tho
