This show as a whole, for having a lot of comedic antics was pretty questionable for kids. It makes no sense they decided to call him Slade instead of Deathstroke the Terminator when he is that much more horrifying than the laid back mercenary character.

Yeah it was a pretty terrifying scene. That's what made it great. I was legit shaken of what was gonna happen to Raven and the world. And I still have Slade/Raven rape fap fantasies to this day.

Slade had more than enough prior exposure as a very crooked and nefarious villain so it was understandable why it was so grim. At the time it was airing all the kids knew Slade, if it was anyone other than Slade doing than that creepy shit then kids might've been confused or upset.
